Ho Chi Minh City's Tax Week program

On 27 and 28 May 2010, Mr. Hasegawa and Mr. Nishikori, Long Term Experts, visited Ho Chi Minh tax office's "Tax Week program" executed at the period of 24 – 30 May 2010. This Tax Week program was the first ever event like this in Vietnam and planned by HCM tax office referring to "Let's Think Tax Week in Japan" that had been introduced by the JICA project. Aiming for promoting mutual understanding between tax authority and taxpayers, improving tax authority's image and collecting taxpayers' opinion about tax administration, the following activities were implemented by tax offices in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Express Q & A service via Internet
  • Dialogue with enterprises/taspayers
  • Tax consultation desk service
  • Tax quiz contest
  • PR through mass media etc.

Taking this opportunity, Mr. Nishikori made presentation about PR form selection and PDCA cycle for program management to taxpayer service / PR staff of HCM tax office.
