Eastern Province: Japan reinforces water and Sanitation

Water facilities in Rwamagana, Kayonza and Ngoma have been constructed and rehabilitated by the Project on Improvement of Water Supply and Sanitation in the Southern Part of the Eastern Province (Pura-Sani Project) supported by JICA. This activity benefited 30,000 people. Another construction and rehabilitation of seven water facilities covering 55,000 people in Ngoma and Kirehe, will be starting by the end of this year.

Since the Skills Training for the Reintegration of Demobilized Soldiers with Disabilities organized by the Rwanda Demobilization and Reintegration Committee and JICA began five years ago, 925 demobilized soldiers with disabilities have acquired vocational skills.
