On March 10, 2018 at Grande Center Point Hotel, Ploenchit, Bangkok, the JICA Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT) held its Annual Meeting, which was attended by 110 alumni members and also non-members. This event was a memorable platform for interaction among alumni members and for strengthening the alumni network.
The program was a mixture of knowledge and fun, including an election for the new board committee, a report of JAAT's balance sheet and its activities as at the end of Japanese Fiscal Year 2017, a presentation about JAAT's long history over the past three decades, a video featuring activities of Japan's Official Development Assistance in Thailand, a panel discussion on "Thailand's Elderly in Context", a presentation about the activities in Thailand of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)'s volunteers, musical and dancing shows performed by JICA volunteers, and ending with a group photo.
Mr. Hiroo Tanaka, Chief Representative of JICA Thailand Office, delivered the opening remarks.
