Contributing to a needy school

On September 1st, 2018, the Friendship Youth Alumni Association of Thailand (FYAA), in collaboration with the JICA Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT) and other service-minded volunteer groups conducted social activities at "Ban Huai Phai" primary school in Petchburi Province. The school is located close to the border of Myanmar, and has 82 students with 4 teachers.

The one-day program included several activities, such as donation of school supplies and other essentials, school desk renovation, medical check-up, haircut teaching, computer check-up and setting, Thai traditional massage service, playing games with children, offering food and desserts, and ending up with a big clean-up.

It is hoped that today's small contribution will improve the quality of education more or less for all needy students who will become the future leaders devoting themselves to development of their community.
