World Bank - JICA Collaboration Program: "South-South Learning Program for Developing Elderly Care Models for Health and Social Services in Vietnam"

From September 15 - 20, 2019, JICA Vietnam Office dispatched the Mission to Thailand, there is total of 27 participants from the Government of Vietnam, World Bank and JICA-HQ. The purpose of visit is to get understanding on overall picture of the social security in Thailand; how aging policies are formulated, how to involve/mobilize different stakeholders for best use of available resources for aging issues, and to understand on the cross sectors collaboration in promoting LTC among public and private, volunteer work, designing care model on the site visits.

The mission participants had the site visits to MOPH, Khon Kaen Site and Nonthaburi site in order to gain various and valuable knowledge on this issue. We believe that the knowledge added through this program, and the shared experience among the participants have provided the participants with more confidence to be valuable resource persons for Vietnam country. We would like to special thanks to all authorities concerned on this program, especially to the staff members of MOPH who made big efforts to facilitate and conduct this Program.
