Record of Discussions (R/D) on "The Project for the Improvement of Crisis Communication and Public Awarness for Disaster Risk Reducation" was signed between Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Ministry of Emergancy Situations (MES) of the Republic of Armenia

On September 18, 2018, Mr. Muneo Takasaka, Chief Representative of JICA Uzbekistan Office and Mr. Hrachya Rostomyan, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia signed the R/D on "The Project for the Improvemnet of Crisis Communication and Public Awarness for Disaster Risk Reducation".

Mr. Rostomyan welcomed Mr. Taksaka and thanked for the fruitful cooperation. He particularly mentioned that the implementation of this technical cooperation will greatly contribute to public awareness for disaster risk reduction.

Mr. Takasaka thanked Mr. Rostomyan for cooperation with JICA, and mentioned the importantance of this project in terms of strengtning preparedness for various natural disasters.

The main purpose of the Project is to strengthen the crisis communication capacity of MES and media by creating a collaborative environment to provide correct information on emergencies in timely manner.
