10 Provincial Education Offices
Target Areas 54 districts covering all 10 Provinces
Target Groups
  • 15,150 teachers science and mathematics at Grade 8-12 in all provinces
  • 12,578 Grade 1-7 teachers in three provinces (Central, Copperbelt, and North-Western)
  • Total 27,728 teachers
Purpose Teaching skills are enhanced under School Based Continuing Professional Development
Activities
  • Conduct orientation in Lesson Study
  • Conduct workshops for Facilitators
  • Conduct workshops for stakeholders
  • Mentor seven new provinces
  • Implement Lesson Study in Schools as School Based CPD
  • Provide technical support to Lesson Study activities at school level
  • Monitor implementation of Lesson Study
  • Conduct International Technical Workshop
  • Conduct local technical exchange visits between provinces
  • Revise the Teaching Skills book
  • Revise the Management Skills book
  • Produce Lesson Study journals
  • Organize a contest on best practices of Lesson Study for schools
  • Document best practices in journals
