Six New Volunteers Arrive in Zambia!

PhotoThe photo above was taken at JICA Zambia Office.

5 JOCV and 1 SV arrived in Zambia on 3rd July, 2013 making the current total number of volunteers in Zambia 59 (56 JOCV and 3 SV). This was after sending off 12 Volunteers in June, 2013 to Japan after completion of their 2 years' service in Zambia. The volunteers are currently undergoing one month in –country training before they are dispatched to their respective recipient organizations.

The volunteers will be working in Zambia for the next two years in fields such as rural community development, water & sewerage lecturer, science & mathematics teachers, physical education teacher and automobile maintenance.

We hope their stay here in Zambia will be a memorable one and that they will go back to Japan and encourage others to come and volunteer their services here in Zambia.
