The Zambia JICA Fellowship Association (ZAJIFA) in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) hosted a seminar and Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 6th October 2018.
ZAJIFA is an alumni association for Ex Participants of JICA training in Japan. The seminar is held annually to share the Progress of implementation Plans based on the lessons learnt and Courses undertaken in Japan. This year's seminar was held under the theme ‘Human Resource Development towards Vision 2030'.
JICA Chief Representative, Mr. Junichi Hanai, who graced the event, said that JICA is more than honored to help developing countries attain their goals and this can only be done by supporting Human Resource Capacity Development via JICA's knowledge Co Creation Program (KCCP). Speaking at the same event on behalf of Public Service Management Division Permanent Secretary, Mr. Daniel Kalebaila said the Government of the Republic of Zambia appreciates the long standing cordial relationship with the Government of Japan. "Government is aware of the many Public Service and Private Sector employees who have benefited from various long and short term courses offered by the Government of Japan under this cooperation", he said.
Mr. Kalebaila further challenged the beneficiaries to share the knowledge acquired in their respective ministries and institutions to pass on the knowledge and skill for the development of the country.
