In 2004, the Government of Nigeria adopted the “National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy “, in which they put higher priority on (i) stable macro-economy, (ii) empowering people, (iii) promoting private enterprises, and ( ⅳ) changing the way of the government does its work. To support the Government of Nigeria achieve its economic empowerment and development, JICA is now engaged in technical cooperation in the following fields in close collaboration with other donors.
