Raise double cropping of rice in Kandal-stung Model Site
Climatically it is cultivatable double or triple cropping of rice in Cambodia. But most of paddy field is compelled to put into a single cropping of wet season rice because of no irrigation system. At Kandal-stung Model Site, almost 90% of paddy field had been cultivated once a year before renovation of irrigation canal by TSC phase1 project on 2002.
On August 2008, TSC project conducted interview to farmers of model site about cultivation in this year. And its response that 60% of paddy field in model site is raised double cropping of rice.
Effective and stable water supply realise spread of IR rice variety in Model Site, and also bring increment of yield.
