9 wells have been installed in Pursat Pilot-site and its surrounding area supported by Darvish Yu Water Fund. The fund established by Japanese baseball player Darvish Yu (Nippon Ham Fighters) collaborated with Japan Water Forum.
Farmers Groups have applied the fund to support for Well installation in Pursat Area. Now they are encouraged to tackle a problem of community through participating project activities, and their 1st priority was shortage of water for household needs.

TSC2 project supported to site selection, construction management and user group formulation with Local Commune and Provincial Department of Water Resource and Meteorology.
Each User Group for 8 wells is formulated one after another in this month, and they made regulation and maintenance rules too.

Water for household needs usually depends on rain water in Pursat area. But rain water is not stable all the year round. Most of households are suffering a water shortage.
