Farmer’s Water User Group in Takeo Pilot Site had repaired canal on 9, 10 and 26th December for preparation of recession rice cropping.
Recession rice cropping is popular at this area. Month of December to January, sowing seeds directly in the field where flood water remains. Water supply continues by canal from　reservoir so called Tonnup in Cambodia after flood subsided. And it will harvest during March to April.
Repaired canal sustains traditional rice cropping system that harnesses flood in Cambodia.
