Vice President of JICA, Mr. Yoshihisa UEDA visited Barru District on 7th May 2009. Mr. Ueda was first welcomed at SMPN4 in Desa Harapan, a remote village of Tanete Riaja Subdistrict where he heard from stakeholders of both PRIMA-K and PRIMA-P (education project). Then, he moved to Puskesmas Lisu (Health Center) where a JOCV is dispatched as a nurse. Finally, he was received by Regent at the Regent Office and exchanged opinions about the future cooperation. Throughout the visit, the high commitment of the district to the two PRIMA projects was reconfirmed.
