Here is a family photo, taken in the 2000s, of the descendants of Japanese who emigrated to Hawai‘i. The photo shows four generations of a family, spanning from the 3rd-generation Nikkei grandson of the early immigrants to the 6th generation great-grandchildren of that 3rd-generation. As you can see, the family members became increasingly diverse from generation to generation.
