JICA Development Studies Program is implemented by JICA as part of the Official Development Assistance (ODA). This program is targeted for international scholars accepted as participants of JICA's Human Resource Development Project (hereinafter referred to as "JICA scholars"), who are enrolled in degree programs at Japanese universities.

JICA YOKOHAMA, located at port city, offers opportunities to people from developing countries to participate JICA Scholars in the field of port management for about two years, such as "Port Maintenance Program", or "Capacity Development for Port Facility Security".

The Ports of Yokohama, Kawasaki and Tokyo located around Tokyo Bay, support social and economic activities not only in the Tokyo metropolitan area but through all country as well. Industrial zones developed near the ports, where a variety of factories are located, has contributed to transform Japan to an industrial powerhouse. The history of port development has played a major role in Japanese industrial development.

The purpose of this video is to introduce participants of JICA Scholars Program the development of Tokyo Bay.
