Signing of Grant Agreement with Sudan: Contributing to improvement of sanitary environment in the target areas through upgrading of the capacity for solid waste management

On March 14, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Sudan inKhartoum, to provide grant aid of up to 1.241 billion yen for the Project for the Improvement of Solid Waste Management Equipment for Clean Cities.

Under this project, public service for sanitary solid waste management will be improved through enhancing the capacity for the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste in the target states. It is expected to contribute to improvement of the sanitary environment in the target areas through upgrading the capacity for solid waste management. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 11.
