With one year remaining before the target year of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the discussions over the Post-2015 development framework is at its peak. Based on the outcome of The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in June 2012, how to integrate Sustainable Development Goals into the Post-2015 Development Agenda is one of the central issues concerning all stakeholders.

Japan International Cooperation Agency Research Institute (JICA-RI), supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the British Embassy Tokyo, and The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Tokyo Centre, invites Mr. John Carstensen, Department for International Development (DFID), UK, and organizes a “Seminar on Environment and Development Cooperation” to be held on Wednesday, March 26th, 2014.

Mr. John Carstensen is Head of Profession for Climate and Environment at DFID and chairs the Network on Environment and Development Co-operation (ENVIRONET) of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). At the Seminar, he will deliver a presentation on how international stakeholders, such as DFID and ENVIRONET, are tackling the issues of sustainable development currently discussed in the international arena.
