Handover of Japanese Emergency Relief Goods to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea in Response to the Natural Disaster (2nd Batch)

On 16th April, 2nd batch of Japanese emergency relief goods through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) were handed over to the Government of Papua New Guinea in response to the national disasters in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

The first batch of emergency relief goods had arrived at Jacksons International Airport on 14th April and 2nd batch of relief goods has arrived on Tuesday 16th April 2024. The emergency relief goods were from the People and Government of Japan through JICA, including 95 tents, 570 blankets, 10 plastic sheets, 570 sleeping pads, 8 water purifiers, and 400 portable jerry cans in response to the recent disasters in the country.

The emergency relief goods will be delivered by the Government of PNG in a few days.
