Research on Teff with Wolaita Sodo University
We visited Southern Nations, Nationalities, and People’s Region (SNNPR) in the end of August 2010. In Wolaita Sodo (about 330km South-South West of Addis Ababa), at Edo village, Wolaita Sodo University (WSU) is conducting a FRG based research to identify optimum seeding rate for teff while farmers are thought to have been sawing too much amount of seed. It is critically important to find out the optimum seeding rate as it will become the base to increase the yield by introducing improved technologies in the future.
