Exchange visits of FRG based research projects

A series of exchange visits of farmer's research fields on FRG based research projects were made from August through November 2011, at WolaiteSodo for quality seed, Fogera for rice technology, Mekele for farmer saved seed quality evaluation and AdamiTulu for seed treatment FRG based researches, respectively. The purpose of the exchange visits was to observe at actual farmer's research fields where other researchers conduct FRG based researches and to exchange their experience on conducting research at the visiting fields. Following the farmer's field visit, presentations of the midterm progress reports were made by praticipant researchers and they discussed further modification of their research projects. Participant researchers reported that it was great opportunity to know the activities that other researchers conduct and to share their progress and challenges on conducting FRG based research projects.
