Feed Management Research in Dry Areas
As FRG II Project decided to cover livestock related research in lowland dry areas, the project called research proposals in December 2011 and 24 proposals were submitted by February 2012. Out of those, four proposals were selected through rigorous screening by the project and senior researchers. The selected proposals cover forage crop production, forage seed production, and rangeland management and implemented in Afar, Somali, Southern Nations and Nationals Peoples and Oromia Regions from May. Based on our FRG approach experiences, the project is going to develop PRG (pastoralist research group) approach.
