AfricaRice
A mission from AfricaRice, one of the CGIAR centers, visited EIAR to discuss future collaborations in rice research. MEDA (NGO supported by Canadian International Development Agency), FRGII project, and SG2000 presented their on-going collaborative activities with EIAR. EIAR presented the National Rice Research and Development Strategy. AfricaRice presented possible research areas of collaboration with EIAR. AfricaRice and EIAR agreed to work continuously on Ethiopia's membership to AfricaRice, capacity building of researchers and other activities related to rice research.
