FRG experts visited the Gambella
Two JICA advisors of FRGII project visited the research team of Gambella Agricultural Research Institute (GARI) and their research site on rice between 9th and 11th of August 2013. The visiting revealed issues related to insufficient labor for postharvest activities and limited capacity for research management. The Gambella region is suitable for rice cultivation because of its warm temperature, available water and nutrient rich soil. The advisors and the researchers discussed improvement of the research management and further collaborative activities on rice research in accordance with farmer's reality.
