Between 27th and 30th of October 2013, Mr. Shingo Takeda of FRG II project participated into a meeting in Kenya on agriculture and rural development in Sub-Sahara African countries organized by JICA together with Mr. Yagi of QSPP project, Mr. Uno of CBID project and Ms. Motomura of JICA Office from Ethiopia. The meeting covered wide range of topics such as seed production, mechanization, regional cooperation, project's approach, country's case study, and ideas toward effective cooperation. There was intensive debate on above mentioned topics. Takeda mentioned about challenge on logistic works for scaling up of the projects' contents and importance of science and mathematics education for counter parts in agricultural project. In this regard, SHEP project in Kenya support farmers to keep of household account and this approach can be relevant for FRG II project.
