The Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia was visited by the delegation of Ministry of Health, Lao P.D.R. from 17th to 30th January 2015.

JICA is implementing a project for human resources for health personnel in Lao. The project in Lao P.D.R. addresses licensing system including renewal of license and continuing education and national exam system for health personnel. The purpose of the delegation is to obtain knowledge on these matters and experience in Indonesia.

The main actors of the project in Indonesia; The Agency for Development and Empowerment Human Resources of Health and Directorate of Nursing, Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia facilitated visit of the delegation of Lao P.D.R.. They explained experience and lessons learnt from the project and Indonesian license system of doctors / registration system of nurses and renewal system in collaboration with related agencies.

Because JICA is conducting projects for health personnel in both countries, this visit could be implemented. ASEAN will be united in 2015, it is expected that this kind of communication will be facilitated in the future.
