Discussion on implementation guideline for the Ladder and table-top exercise.

JICA deployed two short-term experts, one is for the Ladder, the other is for table-top exercise.

Indonesia continues the discussion on competency assessment tool, monitoring tool and contents of implementation guideline for the Ladder which includes competency assessment tool and monitoring. The short-term expert for the Ladder supported this development process. During her assignment, the direction of development of the implementation guideline was confirmed and it was also decided that the draft of competency assessment would be tested at several pilot hospitals of the project.

As mentioned before, the development of curriculum for disaster nursing training is continued. However, Indonesia does not have enough knowledge and experience to develop scenario of table-top exercise which is a part of curriculum for disaster nursing, therefore, JICA deployed a short-term expert for table-top exercise. The expert explained experience of table-top exercise. A lot of her contents were new knowledge for Indonesian participants and asked a lot of questions actively.

It is expected to finalize the implementation guideline for the Ladder and table-top exercise based on this inputs.
