Company visits (March, 2014)

The Project Team together with Industrial Linkage Coordinator of pilot schools started visiting companies and partner organizations to identify the needs of industry sector and seek the opportunity of future collaboration. Some companies which already accepted the OJT students provided us the comments on the OJT's performance and advice on the lessons delivered at schools. Those information were recorded in the interview sheet developed by the Project Team and will be utilized not only for the school activities of pilot schools but also for other Tech-Voc high schools to upgrade their educational quality in the future.

The young staff of METAPHIL are the role model of the students of Subangdaku Technical Vocational School (STVS). METAPHIL has supported this school for 7 years in many ways, such as providing training to teachers, on-the-job training for students, and supply of consumables and equipment.

Elliezer Simega, manager of corporate office, said, "Our company is counting on partner-schools such as STVS to supply reliable and competent workers. With the strong demand for welders not only in the Philippines, but abroad as well, and with the skills that the students have acquired, becoming world-class welders is not far from possible."

METAPHIL will hire all 18 graduates of Welding course of STVS.
