Introduction of our pilot school (No.2)

We would like to introduce you one of the pilot schools, Subangdaku Technical Vocational High School in Mandaue City, Cebu.

This school has some 700 students (Grade 7 – 12) and 20 teachers. There are three specializations for Grade 11 and 12, such as Metal Works, Garments and Culinary Art.

The school is facing several difficulties now. The students willing to learn a trade is accepted from both Mandaue City, and neighboring municipalities, however some students drop out because of financial reasons. The school building damaged by the earthquake in 2013 is another difficulty. The classrooms were closed and most of lessons are conducted under tents. To overcome those difficulties, the school administrator and teachers are trying to establish good linkages with private sector to enhance the quality learning environment for the students.
