Cooperative Seminar in CFJ Kibali

The project conducts cooperative seminars for trainees in cooperation with counterparts and the Ministry of Commerce for the purpose of encouraging them to form cooperatives after the graduation. In the seminar they learn how to establish cooperative, the law related to cooperative, roles of cooperative leaders, case examples of problems in cooperatives, how to open an account in bank, bank deposit, bank loan and so forth.

On 27th May 2008, the project held the cooperative seminar in CFJ Kibali in Gicumbi District and 179 trainees participated in it. The participants were not only demobilised soldiers with disabilities but also other trainees and it is expected that it becomes the valuable opportunity for them to form the joint cooperative and accelerate the reintegration and reconciliation, accordingly.
