The equipment for road maintenance was provided to the Iringa and Chamwino districts. The equipment provided were: tractor for towing; water bowser; plate compactor; pedestrian roller; water pump and other miscellaneous parts for repair. They are used for grading and compaction that are important work process in road maintenance work that uses labour based technology. The equipment ensures quality and shortens period of work.

The maintenance and management plan of equipment has also been prepared, which includes hiring system, lend-leasing price setting, and fund management & monitoring. The income from leasing will be pooled and used for future repair and replacement of the equipment. The expert will guide the method of equipment maintenance in both Iringa and Chamwino districts.
