Huge Progress and Benefit in Chamwino District

Hello. My name is Godwin Mpinzile and I am District Engineer of Camwino district in Dodoma region. Rural Roads Maintenance System Development (RMSD) project is in progress since March 2012. The project has been of value in Chamwino District on several parameters; I am taking this opportunity to mention a few among a long list.

1. In house training of staff (works department) on technical aspects including vehicle odometer calibration, planning and design of cross drainage structure, data processing & quality management, map drawing with the aid of GPS and much more. The followings are some pictures of GIS trainings held in Chamwino.

4. The formulation of "Operational Guidelines for District Roads Management" was among the project agenda; the document is in the approval stage.

The first phase ended in March 2014; the second phase has taken off with more expectation for more success in the disseminated districts (Kondoa District in Dodoma Region and Mufindi District in Iringa Region). We are looking forward to the effective and efficiency rural roads maintenance system in place.
