Finaly! Foram reproduced!

PhotoChecking PH

On the 27th May 2010 we found that foram reproduced.

Mr.Paeniu has been managing the aquarium since it was established. He checks water temperature and PH levels every day. Furthermore, he cleans the aquarium, and also takes care of the machine operation.

Recently, we found algae and snails increased in the tanks and we were worried about their influence on the foram.

When the algae increased so much,The color of the foram became very pale. Meaning that the foram started to weaken. We moved the foram to another clean tank praying for their recovery. Even after that, we were worried if the foram would recover.

Therefore, when we found the foram reproducing, we were rejoiced. After that day, foram babies were born everywhere in the tanks.

In Tuvalu, we have three kinds of the foram. We observed all kinds of it reproducing in the tanks until today.

We are taking care of these babies praying they will grow healthy and produce more for sustainable Tuvalu.
