Project News

The Project Management Units (PMUs) are set up at central level and province level.

1. Province level

The project activities will be implemented in 4 target provinces of Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and An Giang.

The provincial PMU in each province is already set up. Members of the provincial PMU are appointed by the provincial Department of Health (DOH), including members from DOH, Reproductive Health Care Centre, Preventive Medicine Center, Population/Family Planning Division, provincial hospitals, and other related agencies such as medical school and women's union, etc.

The provincial PMUs will manage and monitor the project activities in each province.

2. Central level

At the central level, the Project Coordinating Committee is set up.

The members of this Committee are officials of the Maternal and Child Health Department (MCH dept.), other related departments of the Ministry, National Institutes and Hospitals in Hanoi, and representative from provincial PMUs.

This Project Coordinating Committee will manage and monitor the overall project activities, as well as activities at 4 provinces.
