Project News

The first Joint Coordinating Committee meeting was held in December 14th, 2011 in the meeting room of National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE). There were 17 participants including Professor Nguyen Tran Hien (Director of NIHE), Mr. Tsuno (Chief Representative of JICA Vietnam), Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang, Pasteur Institute Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Nguyen Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. After introduction of Director and Chief Representative, participants reported on implemented activities and Plan of Operation. Furthermore, participants selected seven pathogen supported by the Project (Influenza, Rabies, Anthrax, Cholera, Pestis, Rickettsia, Histoplasma). Vietnam Ministry of Health approved project document of Vietnamese side in November 23rd and project's activities started officially.
