The first JCC Meeting Organized

The first Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting was held in Hanoi on 15th January 2014. The JCC meeting is organized in order to (1) report the evaluation on project activities in 2013, (2) report the summary result of the baseline survey, and (3) discuss and approve the annual plan 2014 and other issues of the project. Participants include JCC's Chairperson – Vice Minister of Ministry of Health (MoH), Senior Representative of JICA Vietnam, representatives from Departments under MoH and from Central Hospitals, Directors and Vice Directors of Departments of Health and General Hospitals from 6 targeted provinces, and other members of JCC and CPMU, PPMUs.

After the opening speeches from The Vice Minister of MoH and Senior Representative of JICA Vietnam, The Project Manager and Chief Advisor reported project performance in 2013 and plan 2014, as well as result of the baseline survey. The meeting was continued with reports from 6 targeted sites about project activities in their provinces. Representatives had raised difficulties and obstacles in project implementation. Upon the requests and recommendation from provinces, Project Director – Director of Medical Service Administration (MSA), MoH and Chief Advisor committed to jointly work with provinces to solve the problems.
