The seminar on the promotion plan of the the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port project was held in Hanoi on March 9th, 2006 and in Ho Chi Minh City on March 13th, 2006. The seminars attracted many participants from port and maritime related organizations.

Dr. Hue, leader of the task force team and vice chairman of VINAMARINE, explained the main part of "The Draft Plan for the Promotion of Gateway Ports in Vietnam" which was drawn up task force members and after that the JICA expert provided some additional commentary.

Lively discussions were held during the question and answer session following the presentation and it was very clear that there is a great deal of interest in the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port project.
