Project News

The third year of the project on the improvement of port management system in Socialist Republic of Vietnam started on April 26th, 2006. This project is in its most important stage.

The following main activities are being carried in the current year.

- Formulation of the draft policy on non state sectors’ participation of gateway ports

- Formulation of the draft documents necessary for the selection of port operators which are non state sectors

- Formulation of the draft port management system by each category of ports

New members have joined the task force team in VINAMARINE, which is the counterpart. The project is being moved forward by this task force team. The JICA experts are assisting the task force team to the best of their ability.
