JICA Tsukuba Center

JICA Tsukuba Center (JICA Tsukuba) is located in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki prefecture, known as the "science city".

JICA Tsukuba covers both prefectures of Ibaraki and Tochigi. This region is known for its natural and historical values that includes a World Cultural Heritage "Nikko Toshogu".

JICA Tsukuba focuses on training programs in the field of agriculture, advanced technology, and so on. More than 800 participants from many developing countries stay in and around the Center every year to join the programs.

Aside from training programs, JICA Tsukuba conducts various activities such as Partnership Program (grass-root technical cooperation), partnership with Japanese private sector, promotion and supports for JICA volunteers, education cooperation for international understanding and various events.
