The third Technical Advisory Board (TAB) meeting was held!

“The Project for Strengthening Human Resource Development of Engineering and Technology for Industry Development in Lao P.D.R.” promotes collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering (FEN) of the National University of Laos and industries. The third Technical Advisory Board meeting was held on 13 March 2025. In total, 43 people attended, including 11 TAB member companies, Dean, Vice Dean, and other management staff, representatives from all 10 departments, the Career Counseling Unit (CCU), and the academic division from FEN.

At this meeting, the Industry-University Collaboration Committee member of FEN presented the achievements of industry-university collaboration activities from the last meeting to date and future plans of industry-university collaboration activities. After this presentation, FEN and TAB members exchanged opinions.

The TAB member companies expressed the following comments: they value internships, AI and PLC systems are in high demand, they would like to work with FEN to assemble new equipment, they would like to test products in FEN's new lab, and they would like to work with CCU to hire more graduates, etc. In addition to the current member companies which are relevant to the 6 departments, it is planned to add companies associated with the remaining 4 departments and to continue improving educational contents incorporating inputs from the industries and promoting industry-university collaboration activities.
