Held 4th Joint Coordination Committee Meeting

The 4th Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) Meeting was held on May 22nd, 2023. At the meeting, the project stakeholders from both Japan and Mongolia discussed topics related to the project.
While 33 participants attended the meeting in person at Ulaanbaatar Hotel, some participated online from Japan.
After opening remarks by Mr. A.Tsolmon, Secretary-General of Ministry of Education and Sciences(MES), and Ms. Miyako Kobayashi, Deputy Senior Representative of Human Development Department, JICA, Ms Sayaka Suzuki, Chief Advisor of the START2 Team reportedthe results of activities in 2022-2023 and the status of PDM achievement. Also, Ms. J.Purevsaikhan, Specialist of MES, Ms. E.Chuluunkhishigt, Senior Director of General Authority for Education, and Ms. Ch.Otgontsetseg, Central Commission of Health, Education and Social Protection for Children with Disability of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported the status of implementation of activities to resolve issues raised at the 3rd JCC. Furthermore, Mr. J.Myagmar, Senior Director of MES facilitated a discussion among participants on future activity plans, ensuring sustainability of inclusive education dissemination activities after the completion of START2.
Finally, Mr. Tokuji Yoshimura, Deputy Senior Representative of JICA Mongolia Office, gave closing remarks. In the remarks, he indicated that we will to continue to work together as stakeholders to exercise the right to education for all people, regardless of disability.
The project will continue to focus on building a system for inclusive education to spread inclusive education throughout Mongolia in the limited time remaining until the end of the project and to continue to promote it even after the project ends.
