Short term expert’s Seminar on “Behaviors of cell-autonomous and non-cell-autonomous circadian rhythms in the plant body”

Being invited by Dr. Pagkapol Pongsawakul (Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University), Prof. Tokitaka Oyama (Kyoto University), a short term expert* of the Project, delivered a seminar in hybrid style (onsite and online) on “Behaviors of cell-autonomous and non-cell-autonomous circadian rhythms in the plant body”.
More than 15 people from Mahidol University’s Department of Plant Science including Dr. Metha Meetam’s SATREPS group members along with around 5 online participants attended the seminar.
Prof. Oyama’s presentation from a viewpoint of his specialty “Chronobiology”, covered basic content as well as the latest research results about the Duckweed’s circadian system.
This intriguing seminar was made even more meaningful for the participants through the discussions on the future issues.
