Short-term researchers’ activities

Two short-term researchers (Short-term Experts) came to Thailand for the project activities.
Prof. Dr. Tadashi TOYAMA, G5, Univ. of Yamanashi: 23 – 27 March 2025
Prof. Dr. Masaaki MORIKAWA, Chief Researcher, Hokkaido Univ.: 26 – 29 March 2025

Summary

24 March

Dr. Toyama and Dr. Chart (Principal Investigator,G5) with students conducted research work at the Duckweed wastewater treatment pilot plant which has been running as a demonstration in Kasetsart Univ campus and discussed the research after this.
The students received training from Dr. Toyama in Microbial analysis of Duckweed-Holobiont.

25 March

With G5 research members, Dr. Toyama discussed result of the demonstration of the Duckweed wastewater treatment pilot plant and analyzed its data.
Furthermore, they had discussion about research plan for upcoming Greenhouse gas emission analysis of duckweed-based wastewater treatment.

26 March

Dr. Toyama with Dr. Morikawa and G5 research members visited the research site of Duckweed wastewater treatment and Greenhouse gas emission analysis, which was located in a pig farm in Lop Buri province, so as to plan and prepare for the researches.
