Academic Workshop on Utilization of Wolffia - A New Economic Plant
The Duckweed Holobiont Resource & Research Center (DHbRC) and the OMICS Center for Agriculture, Bioresources, Food and Health, Kasetsart University (OmiKU), and Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University jointly organized an academic workshop titled "Utilization of Wolffia - A New Economic Plant” with JICA Be-HoBiD Project Manager Prof. Arinthip Thamchaipenet serving as Masters of Ceremony.
Besides Prof. Arinthip T., four Thai researchers of the project, namely Dr. Ekaphan K. (G2), Dr.Weerasin S. (G1), Dr. Suvimol C. (G4) and Dr. Metha M. (G6), joined the workshop as invited speakers.

The Be-HoBiD project stands for "Development of the Duckweed Holobiont Resource Values towards Thailand BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy."
The project consists of six research groups namely: G1: Duckweed Holobiont Resource & Research Center (DHbRC). G2: Duckweed holobiont collection. G3: Duckweed holobiont analysis and biotechnology. G4: Duckweed biomass utilization. G5: Duckweed wastewater treatment technology. G6: Social implementation activities toward BCG economy.
