Exhibit in an event of Thailand International Cooperation Agency(2023-08-24)

On 24 August, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA)*1, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand organized an event “8th TICA Connect” *2 showcasing its activities of South-South Cooperation and Triangular Cooperation with various development partners. In the event, JICA Thailand Office exhibited posters, brochures etc. including this project‘s exhibit such as Duckweed samples, hand-out and Duckweed (Wolffia) ice cream.

In a Panel discussion with representatives of International Organizations and related agencies of participant countries, Mr. Kazuya SUZUKI, Chief Representative of JICA Thailand explained JICA’s activities in terms of sustainable development and introduced the duckweed project as well.

Dr. M. Morikawa (Hokkaido Univ.), visiting Bangkok for ASEAN-JAPAN Innovation Week*3, also attended this event with two Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) officials, Mr. Osamu KOBAYASHI and Ms. Ayana TSUCHIYA.
