CBNRM follow-up training

After a three-day training to learn CBNRM (Community-based Sustainable Natural Resource Management) to be introduced in the target villages by the project, the Project has steadily implemented field activities such as establishing village committees and creating land use maps in the target villages in each municipality. In November 2024, the Project conducted one day follow-up training for government counterparts in the target municipalities to confirm the progress and problems of the activities and to ensure that future activities can be implemented more effectively.

When the drone forest survey reported the severe situation of deforestation and forest degradation in the target villages, the importance of restricting deforestation through the formulation of village regulations and establishing penalties to comply with them was reaffirmed.
In addition, in the microprogram for introduction of sustainable and climate resilient livelihood options to be implemented in the target villages in the future, the Project sets a target of 40% participation for women from the perspective of improving livelihoods. There were also explanations and discussions on the significance of women's participation and specific programs.
