Forest resource survey by drones was conducted in Comoro Watershed to verify the effectiveness of forest conservation

Forest survey was conducted by drones at Comoro watershed which is one of the target watersheds in the project in October 2023.

The project established sample plots in the target villages and conducted drone surveys to check the forest condition. As the project has just started field activities to introduce Community-based Sustainable Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) in the target villages since July 2023, the data taken from this survey is baseline data at the start of project activities in the villages.

The project will regularly conduct drone surveys and monitor forest condition by comparing aerial photography of different years.
