The first round of hands-on training courses for Seedling Production and Tree Planting Promotion Micro Program (SPTPP-MP) was completed in four villages in Comoro watershed
The first year of hands-on training of SPTPP-MP conducted since last year in four villages in the Comoro watershed has been completed.
Around 120 households per village participated in various technical trainings related to seedling production and planting trees, including nursery establishment, compost making, transplanting of sprouts and tending of seedling. Each household planted around 50 seedlings at demonstration plots.
In April 2025, an annual evaluation and planning workshop was held to evaluate the first year’s performances and results of the program activities and to prepare an annual work plan for the 2nd round of the hands-on training course. The community will start the 2nd round of hands-on training according to the annual plan developed at the workshop, applying the learned techniques into individual plots this year.
