The press tour came to Siem Reap on Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA)
The Siem Reap Provincial Administration(SRPA) welcome the Official Development Assistance (ODA) Press Tour in the participation of various ｍass media company in the morning of 5th October 2023.
H.E. Mr Yun Linne, the Deputy Governor as Project Manager, expressed about the progress of the current smart city initiatives, and the sincere thanks of Siem Reap for the continuous support from Japan and Japanese people.
After the opening remarks, Mr Theourt Soviet, director of Intersectoral Division, SRPA make a presentation on the smart city project focused on the background of the project, vision and strategies, implementation structure, capacity building, pilot projects, city-to-city collaboration and monitoring and evaluation measures.
Having finished the presentation, participants headed to the monitoring room in the Siem Reap Administration Hall as a site visit.
Mr. Yun Linne and his colleagues showed the demonstration of the illegal parking monitoring pilot project, how cameras detected illegal parking in the selected areas and described more on what has been done.
The press asked a variety of the questions on the pilot project, current situation of tourism in Siem Reap, expected positive effects of smart city development and more.
