Installation of CCTV cameras to test an illegal parking monitoring system
On Tuesday, 17th October 2023, Siem Reap Smart City Project installed some CCTV cameras for illegal parking monitoring system at the chosen locations as part of its pilot project.
The next day, there was site inspection by Siem Reap provincial administration, the provincial police and relevant stakeholders to the areas and the monitoring room at Siem Reap Provincial Hall.
After the site inspection, the police officers were trained on the system, how to use the application on their phone and how they receive notification when there is an illegal parking in the target locations.
The police officers agreed to start the implementation and see how they can use the system to help handle illegal parking in the four selected areas.
The pilot project will continue until June 2024 as a first stage.
